The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry has the honour to present its

Your Committee, which was authorised by the Senate on November 24, 1999 to examine the present state and the future of forestry in Canada, respectfully requests that it be empowered to engage the services of such counsel and technical, clerical, and other personnel as may be necessary; and to adjourn from place to place within and outside Canada.

The budget was presented to the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration on Thursday, April 6, 2000. In its Tenth Report, the Internal Economy Committee recommended that an amount of $184,275 be released for this study. The report was adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, June 7, 2000.
