The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met in camera at 9:02 a.m, this day, in room 160-S, Centre Block, the Chair, the Honourable Senator Murray, P.C., presiding, for the purpose of discussing future business.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bolduc, Chaput, Comeau, Cordy, Furey, Gauthier, Hubley, Kinsella, Mahovlich, Murray, P.C., Oliver, and Phalen (12).

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Beaudoin. (1).

In attendance: Mr. Guy Beaumier, June Dewetering and Stephen Laurent, Research Officers, Library of Parliament.

The committee undertook discussion of its future business in relation to Bill C-25.

The Honourable Senator Gauthier proposed — That the committee hear representatives from the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency during its deliberations on Bill C-25.

After discussion, it was agreed — That the committee hear representatives of the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency at 9 a.m. on Tuesday September 16, 2003.

At 9:24 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.

The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met at 9:29 a.m, this day, in room 160-S, Centre Block, the Chair, the Honourable Senator Murray, P.C., presiding.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on June 13, 2003, the committee continued its consideration of Bill C-25, the Public Service Modernization Act.
