The Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce met this day at 4:18 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the deputy chair, the Honourable Céline Hervieux-Payette, P.C., presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Greene, Hervieux-Payette, P.C., Maltais, Massicotte, Moore, Oliver, Poirier, Ringuette, Smith (Saurel) and Tkachuk (10).
In attendance: Adriane Yong and Brett Stuckey, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, the committee continued its examination of the subject-matter of those elements contained in Divisions 1, 3, 6 and 14 of Part 4 of Bill C-45, A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 29, 2012 and other measures.
