The Standing Committee on Rules, Procedures and the Rights of Parliament met this day at 10:19 a.m., in room 356-S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable David P. Smith, P.C. (Cobourg), presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Braley, Brown, Comeau, Duffy, Fraser, Joyal, P.C., Smith, P.C. (Cobourg) and Stratton (8).
In attendance: Sebastian Spano and Andre Barnes, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to rule 86(1)(d)(iii), the committee considered the orders and customs of the Senate and privileges of Parliament for the purpose of receiving the parliamentary delegation from Tanzania.
