The Senate Committee of Selection met this day at 11 a.m. to consider Committee Membership.

Senator Elizabeth (Beth) Marshall (Chairman) in the chair.

The Chair: Honourable senators, thank you for being here this morning. Welcome. The purpose of today's meeting is to recommend membership changes to certain Senate committees.

I am ready to receive motions to that effect.

Senator Comeau: I move that the Honourable Senator Carignan replace the Honourable Senator Duffy on the Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry.

The Chair: It is moved by the Honourable Senator Comeau that the Honourable Senator Carignan replace the Honourable Senator Duffy as a member of the Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry.

Is it your pleasure, honourable senators, to adopt the motion?

Hon. Senators: Agreed.

The Chair: Is there another motion?

Senator Greene: Yes. I move that the Honourable Senator Carignan replace Senator Duffy as a member of the Standing Senate Committee on Rules, Procedures and the Rights of Parliament.

The Chair: It is moved by the Honourable Senator Greene that the Honourable Senator Carignan replace the Honourable Senator Duffy as a member on the Standing Senate Committee on Rules, Procedures and the Rights of Parliament.

Is it your pleasure, honourable senators, to adopt the motion?

Hon. Senators: Agreed.

The Chair: Are there any other proposed membership changes, Senator Munson?

Senator Munson: Not at this time.

The Chair: Is it agreed that I report the recommendations at today's meeting of the Senate?

Hon. Senators: Agreed.

The Chair: Is it agreed that the committee now adjourn?

Hon. Senators: Agreed.
