The Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology met this day at 10:27 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, Honourable Kelvin Kenneth Ogilvie, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Cordy, Dyck, Eaton, Eggleton, P.C., Enverga, Martin, Munson, Ogilvie, Seidman, Seth and Verner, P.C. (11).
In attendance: Sonya Norris, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 28, 2013, the committee continued its study of the subject matter of Bill C-314, An Act respecting the awareness of screening among women with dense breast tissue.

Gregory Doyle, Chair, National Committee.
Canadian Partnership Against Cancer:
Shelly Jamieson, Chief Executive Officer.
British Columbia Cancer Agency:
Dr. Christine Wilson, Medical Director, Screening Mammography Program of British Columbia.
The chair made a statement.
Ms. Jamieson, Mr. Doyle and Dr. Wilson each made a statement and, together, answered questions.
At 11:43 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
