The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day, at 5 p.m., in camera to consider a draft agenda, and examine research and innovation efforts in the agricultural sector; and in public to consider a draft budget.

The Chair: Honourable senators, the meeting is now public.

The chair is asking the Agriculture and Forestry Committee to examine a draft budget for the fiscal year 2013-2014 in the amount of $22,556 for a fact-finding mission in Ontario and for it to be submitted to the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration. As for the trip, it would hopefully be completed by the end of February, 2014. Do I have a consensus?

Hon. Senators: Agreed.

The Chair: I see that we do have a consensus. The chair will declare that the budget is adopted and carried.

Are there any other comments, honourable senators? If not, at this point the chair will recognize that no comments are made and I declare the meeting adjourned.
