The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met in camera this day at 10 a.m., in room
356-S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Chaput, Day, Eaton, Hervieux-Payette, P.C., Rivard, Smith (Saurel) and Wallace (8).

In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Raphaëlle Deraspe, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 14, 2015, the committee continued its examination of subject matter of Bill C-59, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 21, 2015 and other measures. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 32.)

Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered a draft report.

It was agreed that senators' staff be allowed to stay in the room.

It was agreed that the draft report on the subject matter of Bill C-59, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 21, 2015 and other measures, be adopted, as amended, and that the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure be authorized to make minor editorial revisions.

It was agreed that the report be tabled in the chamber at the earliest opportunity.

At 10:27 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
