The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera this day at 4:15 p.m., in room 160-S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable Raynell Andreychuk, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Ataullahjan, Beyak, Cordy, Housakos and Ngo (6).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Eaton (1).
In attendance: Natalie Mychajlyszyn and Pascal Tremblay, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, the committee continued its study on recent political and economic developments in Argentina in the context of their potential impact on regional and global dynamics, including on Canadian policy and interests, and other related matters. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 3.)
It was agreed that senators' staff be permitted to remain in the room during the meeting.
Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered a draft agenda (future business).
At 4:20 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
