The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 8 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Ghislain Maltais, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Beyak, Dagenais, Maltais, Mercer, Ogilvie, Oh, Petitclerc, Pratte, Tardif and Woo (10).
In attendance: Aïcha Coulibaly, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, March 9, 2017, the committee continued its study on the potential impact of the effects of climate change on the agriculture, agri-food and forestry sectors. The chair made a statement.
Mr. Lowe and Mr. Masswohl made statements and answered questions.
At 9 a.m., the committee suspended.
At 9:07 a.m., the committee resumed.
Ms. Patterson and Mr. Martineau made statements and, together with Ms. Johnstone-Grimmer and Mr. Stordy, answered questions.
At 10:07 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
