The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 5:01 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Diane F. Griffin, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Dagenais, Doyle, Eaton, Gagné, Griffin, Maltais, Oh, Pratte, Tardif and Woo (10).

In attendance: Aïcha Coulibaly, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, March 9, 2017, the committee continued its study on the potential impact of the effects of climate change on the agriculture, agri-food and forestry sectors. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 26.)

WITNESSES:

Association of Canadian Port Authorities:

Wendy Zatylny, President;

Debbie Murray, Director, Policy and Regulatory Affairs.

The chair made a statement.

Ms. Zatylny made a statement and, together with Ms. Murray, answered questions.

At 5:57 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 6:01 p.m., pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee resumed in camera to consider a draft agenda.

At 6:16 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
