The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 9:33 a.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Cools, Eaton, Forest, Marshall, Mockler, Moncion, Pratte and Woo (9).

In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Olivier Leblanc-Laurendeau, analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the committee continued its study on the federal government's multi-billion dollar infrastructure funding program. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 7.)

WITNESSES:

Privy Council Office:

Matthew Mendelsohn, Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet, Results and Delivery;

Francis Bilodeau, Assistant Secretary to the Cabinet, Results and Delivery.

Infrastructure Canada:

Jean-François Tremblay, Deputy Minister, Infrastructure and Communities;

Darlene Boileau, Assistant Deputy Minister, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer;

Marc Fortin, Assistant Deputy Minister, Program Operations;

Alain Desruisseau, Director General, Strategic Policy and Priority Initiatives;

Glenn Campbell, Assistant Deputy Minister, Infrastructure Funding and Investment, Canada Infrastructure Bank Transition Office.

Mr. Mendelsohn made a statement and, with Mr. Bilodeau, answered questions.

At 10:38 a.m., the committee suspended.

At 10:43 a.m., the committee resumed.

Mr. Tremblay made a statement and, with Mr. Campbell, answered questions.

At 11:40 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
