The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met in camera this day at 5:44 p.m., in room 505, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Fabian Manning, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Enverga, Forest, Gold, Manning, McInnis, Munson, Pate, Poirier, Raine and Watt (10).

In attendance: Odette Madore, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, April 14, 2016, the committee continued its study on Maritime Search and Rescue activities, including current challenges and opportunities. (For complete text of order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 4.)

Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered a draft agenda (future business).

At 6:10 p.m., pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, the committee continued its study on issues relating to the federal government's current and evolving policy framework for managing Canada's fisheries and oceans. Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered a draft agenda (future business).

At 6:23 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
