The Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology met this day at 10:30 a.m., in room W110, 1
Wellington Street, the deputy chair, the Honourable Judith Seidman, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boyer, Deacon (Ontario), Eaton, Kutcher, Munson,
Oh, Omidvar, Ravalia, Seidman and Smith (10).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Dasko (1).
In attendance: Julian Walker and Laura Munn-Rivard, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services,
Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 30, 2019, the committee continued its
examination of Bill C-84, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (bestiality and animal fighting).

The deputy chair made a statement.
Ms. St. Germain and Ms. Labchuk made statements and answered questions.
It was agreed that the committee proceed to clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-84, An Act to amend the
Criminal Code (bestiality and animal fighting).
It was agreed that the title stand postponed.
