The Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs of the Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence met this day at 12:03 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Dagenais, Day, Lang, Mitchell and White (5).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Wallin (1).
In attendance: Isabelle Lafontaine-Emond, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, January 28, 2016, and delegated on Monday, February 1, 2016, by the Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence, the subcommittee continued its study on the services and benefits provided to members of the Canadian Forces; to veterans; to members and former members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and their families. Lieutenant-General Christine Whitecross, Commander, Military Personnel Command;

Brigadier-General H.C. MacKay, Surgeon General and Commander, Canadian Forces Health Services Group .
The chair made a statement.
Lieutenant-General Whitecross made a statement and, together with Captain (Navy) Langlois and Brigadier- General MacKay, answered questions.
At 1:10 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
