The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:47 p.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the chair, the Honourable Claude Carignan, P.C., presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boudreau, Carignan, P.C., Dalphond, Forest, Loffreda, MacAdam, Osler, Pate and Smith (9).

Participating in the meeting: Sylvain Fleury and Shaowei Pu, Analysts, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, the committee continued its examination of matters relating to federal estimates generally and other financial matters.

WITNESSES:

Office of the Auditor General of Canada:

Karen Hogan, Auditor General of Canada;

Andrew Hayes, Deputy Auditor General;

Mathieu Lequain, Principal;

Nicholas Swales, Principal;

Sami Hannoush, Principal.

Karen Hogan made a statement and, together with Nicholas Swales and Andrew Hayes, answered questions.

At 8:36 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
