Pursuant to the order of the Senate of March 31, 2022, the Standing Senate Committee on Official Languages met this day in room W110, 1 Wellington Street, and with videoconference, at 5:00 p.m. ET, the chair, the Honourable René Cormier, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Cormier, Dalphond and Mégie (3).

Members of the committee present by videoconference: The Honourable Senators Clement, Dagenais, Mockler, Moncion and Poirier (5).

Participating in the meeting: Sara Gajic, Legislative Clerk and Laurie-Anne Spooner, Administrative Assistant, Committees Directorate; Marie-Ève Hudon, Analyst, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 10, 2022, the committee continued its study of Francophone immigration to minority communities.

Mariève Forest and Guillaume Deschênes-Thériault each made a statement and answered questions.
