Pursuant to the order of the Senate of May 5, 2022, the Standing Senate Committee on Official Languages met this day in room W110, 1 Wellington Street, and with videoconference, at 5:00 p.m. ET, the chair, the Honourable René Cormier, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Clement, Cormier, Dalphond, Gagné and Mégie (5).
Members of the committee present by videoconference: The Honourable Senators Dagenais, Jaffer, Mockler, Moncion and Poirier (5).
Participating in the meeting: Sara Gajic, Legislative Clerk and Laurie-Anne Spooner, Administrative Assistant, Committees Directorate; Marie-Ève Hudon, Analyst, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 10, 2022, the committee continued its study of Francophone immigration to minority communities.

The minister continued to answer questions.
At 5:59 p.m., the Honourable Senator Jaffer replaced the Honourable Senator Mégie as a member of the committee.
At 6:07 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 6:08 p.m., the committee resumed.
Caroline Xavier, Catherine Scott and Marie-Josée Dorion answered questions.
At 6:46 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
