The Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce has the honour to table its

FIRST REPORT

Your committee, which was authorized by the Senate to incur expenses for the purpose of its examination and consideration of such matters as were referred to it, tables, pursuant to rule 12-26(2), the following report on expenses incurred for that purpose during the Second Session of the Forty-third Parliament:

1. With respect to its study on those elements contained in Divisions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 of Part 4 the subject matter of all of Bill C-30, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 19, 2021 and other measures:

During the session, your committee held eight meetings (14 hours 14 minutes), heard 40 witnesses and submitted three reports in relation to its work. Your committee examined one bill, the subject matter of one budget bill, one special study, and received a total of five orders of reference.
