News Release
Speaker of the Senate
Change of sitting time on Friday, March 26, 2021
March 22, 2021
Following consultations with the leaders and facilitators of all recognized parties and parliamentary groups, the Speaker of the Senate has adjusted the sitting time to meet on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 11 a.m.
This one-hour delay in the sitting time will better accommodate the schedules of senators participating virtually from all parts of the country in the context of hybrid sittings.
Under the Rules of the Senate, the Speaker can extend a period of adjournment if it is deemed that the public interest does not require the Senate to meet at the originally specified date and time.
