On November 7, 2017, the Senate adopted a motion to reset committee memberships to reflect the same proportion of senators by party or parliamentary group as in the Senate Chamber. Once new committee members are announced, they will be posted here

Over the coming weeks, committees will meet to elect a Chair and Deputy Chair. In some cases they may elect two deputy chairs. Once this process is complete, committees will then appoint a new Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, commonly called the “steering committee”. The steering committee is delegated a number of powers, including the authority to make decisions on behalf of the committee with respect to its agenda, to invite witnesses, and to schedule public hearings on and off Parliament Hill.

The membership of each steering committee will be listed below as it becomes available:
