Point of Order
June 9, 2021
Hon. Donald Neil Plett (Leader of the Opposition)
Your Honour, we have a rule that when we are either in a Senate meeting or in the Senate chamber during a virtual meeting that people who attend by Zoom are required to be in a secure location, which means either their residence or an office. During the vote, I saw what appeared to be a senator outside, possibly in a park. I would not consider that a secure location.
I am raising that as a point of order, Your Honour. You may want to look into it and remind senators that they need to be in an office or in their home.
