THIRD REPORT

Pursuant to Rule 85(1)(b) of the Rules of the Senate, your Committee submits herewith the list of Senators nominated by it to serve on the following joint committees:

JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE LIBRARY OF PARLIAMENT

The Honourable Senators Bolduc, Gigantès and Riel.

JOINT COMMITTEE ON THE SCRUTINY OF REGULATIONS

The Honourable Senators Anderson, Cogger, Grimard, Kelly, Lewis, Maheu, Rizzuto and Taylor.

JOINT COMMITTEE ON OFFICIAL LANGUAGES

The Honourable Senators Beaudoin, Poulin, Rivest, Robichaud and Roux.

SPECIAL JOINT COMMITTEE ON A CODE OF CONDUCT

The Honourable Senators Angus, Bosa, Di Nino, Gauthier, Oliver, Spivak and Stollery.

Your Committee recommends that Rule 86(1)(a) and (e) be suspended in relation to the nomination of Senators to serve on the Standing Joint Committee on Official Languages and the Standing Joint Committee on the Library of Parliament.

Your Committee notes that Rule 86(1)(c) of the Rules of the Senate lists the Joint Committee on the Restaurant of Parliament as a standing committee, to which shall be appointed the Speaker and six other senators.

Your Committee respectfully requests that the Speaker of the Senate initiate discussions with the Speaker of the other place concerning the reappointment of the Joint Committee on the Restaurant of Parliament.
