Extract from the Senate Journals of Monday, June 15, 1998:

Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Fitzpatrick, seconded by the Honourable Senator Moore, for the second reading of Bill C-29, An Act to establish the Parks Canada Agency and to amend other Acts as a consequence.

After debate, The question being put on the motion, it was adopted on division.

The bill was then read the second time, on division.

The Honourable Senator Fitzpatrick moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Forest, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
