Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Grafstein, seconded by the Honourable Senator Callbeck, for the second reading of Bill S-5, An Act to amend the Parliament of Canada Act (Parliamentary Poet Laureate).
After debate,
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
The Bill was then read the second time.
The Honourable Senator Hays moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Carstairs, that the Bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology.
