The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries met this day, in camera, at 7:00 p.m. in Room 505, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Gerald J. Comeau, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Adams, Callbeck, Comeau, Cook, Mahovlich, Moore and Watt (7).

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch, Library of Parliament: Claude Emery, Research Officer.

The Committee proceeded to consider a draft report.

It was agreed - That the material presented by the N.B. Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture be filed as an exhibit with the Clerk of the Committee (Exhibit 5900 F1-SS-1, 8 "26").

At 8:45 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.

The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries met this day, in camera, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 505, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Gerald J. Comeau, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Adams, Chalifoux, Comeau, Cook, Hubley, Meighen, Moore and Watt (8).

Participating by teleconference: The Honourable Senator Carney, P.C. (1).

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch, Library of Parliament: Claude Emery, Research Officer.

The committee proceeded to consider a draft report.

It was moved - That the report as amended be adopted and reported to the Senate.

The question being put, the motion was adopted.

It was agreed - That the material presented by Fisheries and Oceans Canada be filed as an exhibit with the Clerk of the Committee (Exhibit 5900 F1-SS-1, 8"27").

It was agreed - That the material presented by the Nayumivik Landholding Corporation be filed as an exhibit with the Clerk of the Committee (Exhibit 5900 F1-SS-1, 8"28").

At 9:40 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
