The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 9:35 a.m., in Room 256-S, Centre Block, the Chair, the Honourable Lise Bacon, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bacon, Finestone, P.C., Fitzpatrick, Forrestall and Milne (5).

In attendance: Martin Brennan, special advisor to the committee.

Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on February 7, 2001, the committee proceeded to study Bill S-7.

WITNESS:

The Honourable Sheila Finestone, P.C.

The witness made a presentation and answered questions.

At 10:20 a.m., it was agreed - That the committee adjourn to the call of the Chair.
