The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communica tions met this day at 5:52 p.m., in room 256, Centre Block, the Chair, the Honourable Lise Bacon, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: The Honourable Senators Adams, Bacon, Biron, Callbeck, Eyton, Finestone, P.C.,Fitzpatrick, Gill, Gustafson, LaPierre and Oliver (11).
In attendance: Martin Brennan, Special Advisor to the Committee and Joseph Dion, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on October 16, 2001, the committee proceeded to study Bill S-33.

At 6:36 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 6:59 p.m., the committee resumed.
At 7:06 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 7:17 p.m., the committee resumed.
The witnesses made a presentation and answered questions.
Transport Canada submitted a brief.
At 7:51 p.m., it was agreed - That the committee adjourn to the call of the Chair.
