Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Furey, seconded by the Honourable Senator Gill:

That the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs be authorized to examine and report on regulations made pursuant to An Act respecting firearms and other weapons, Statutes of Canada, 1995, Chapter 39, as contemplated by section 118(3) of that Act; and

That the Committee present its report no later than December 31, 2003.

That Bill C-45, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (criminal liability of organizations), be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs.
