Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Segal, seconded by the Honourable Senator Keon, for the second reading of Bill C-11, An Act to amend the Canada Transportation Act and the Railway Safety Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

The bill was then read the second time.

The honourable Senator Comeau moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Stratton, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications.
