The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day, at 2:34 p.m., in the Salon Cartier C, Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain, the Honourable Lise Bacon, Chair, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bacon, Dawson, Mercer, Merchant, and Tkachuk (5).
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Allison Padova, Analyst.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 11, 2006, the committee continued its consideration on the containerized freight traffic handled by Canada's ports (For complete text of Order of Reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 2.)
