The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day, at 6:15 p.m., in room 256-S, Centre Block, the Chair, the Honourable Lise Bacon, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bacon, Dawson, Eyton, Johnson, Merchant and Phalen (6).
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Terrence Thomas, Analyst.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, May 29, 2007, the committee began its consideration on the Department of Industry User Fees Proposal for a spectrum licence fee for broadband public safety communications in bands 4940-4990 MHz, pursuant to the User Fees Act, S.C. 2004, c. 6, sbs. 4(2).—Sessional Paper No. 1/39-879.

The committee proceeded to consider a draft report.
It was agreed that the report be adopted.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Monday, June 18, 2007, the committee began its consideration of Bill C-59, to amend the Criminal Code (unauthorized recording of a movie).
