The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 5:35 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Duffy, Eaton, Fairbairn, P.C., Martin, Mercer, Mockler, Rivard, Robichaud, P.C., Segal and Wallin (10).

In attendance: Mathieu Frigon and David Surprenant, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament; and Mona Ishack, Communications Officer, Communications Directorate.

Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, March 11, 2010, the committee continued its consideration of the current state and future of Canada's forest sector. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 1.)

WITNESS:

André Bourassa, Architect and President.

Mr. Bourassa made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 7:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
