The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met in camera at 5:06 p.m., in room 705, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Duffy, Eaton, Fairbairn, P.C., Mahovlich, Mercer, Mockler, Ogilvie, Plett, Rivard and Robichaud, P.C. (10).
In attendance: Aïcha Coulibaly, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to rule 92(2)(e), the committee considered a draft agenda (future business).
It was agreed that senators' staff be permitted to stay in the room.
It was agreed that the proposed order of reference for a study on innovation in agriculture be adopted by the committee and that the chair present a motion to that effect in the Senate.
It was agreed that the steering committee consider the options available for the printing and graphic design for the final report on the forestry sector.
At 6:00 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
