The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day, at 9:32 a.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Joseph A. Day, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Day, Dickson, Eggleton, P.C., Finley, Gerstein, Marshall, Murray, P.C., Neufeld, Ringuette and Runciman (10).
In attendance: John Bulmer and Sylvain Fleury, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, the committee continued its examination of the expenditures set out in the Main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2012, with the exception of Parliament Vote 10. Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, the committee continued its examination of the expenditures set out in the Supplementary Estimates (C) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011. Pursuant to rule 92(2)(f) the committee considered a draft report.
It was agreed that senators' staff be permitted to remain in the room for the meeting.
It was agreed that the draft report be adopted, as amended, and that the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure be authorized to make editorial revisions.
At 1:18 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
