The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 6:48 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Dennis Dawson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boisvenu, Cochrane, Dawson, Eaton, Greene, MacDonald, Martin, Mercer, Merchant, Verner, P.C., and Zimmer (11).
In attendance: Dean Ruffilli, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament and Keli Hogan, Committee Clerk, Committees Directorate.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, the committee continued its consideration on emerging issues related to the Canadian airline industry.

Hugh Dunleavy, Executive Vice-President, Strategy and Planning.
Mr. Dunleavy made a presentation and answered questions.
At 7:39 p.m., the committee proceeded to the consideration of a draft budget.
It was agreed that the following special study budget application (Canadian Airline Industry) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2012, be approved for submission to the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration.

At 7:40 p.m., the committee resumed hearing from Mr. Dunleavy.
At 7:45 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
