The Standing Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce met this day at 2:03 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable David Tkachuk, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Campbell, Carignan, P.C., Enverga, Maltais, Massicotte, Ringuette, Tannas, Tkachuk, Unger, Wallin and Wetston (11).

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Marwah (1).

In attendance: Michaël Lambert-Racine and Adriane Yong, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Monday, May 8, 2017, the committee continued its examination of the subject matter of those elements contained in Divisions 3, 8, 18 and 20 of Part 4 of Bill C-44, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 22, 2017 and other measures.
