The Committee of Selection met this day at 8:38 a.m., in room 160-S, Centre Block.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Beyak, Fraser, Frum, Hubley, Martin, Munson, Plett and White (8).

Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Lankin, P.C. and McCoy (2).

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

The clerk of the committee presided over the election of the chair.

The Honourable Senator Munson moved that the Honourable Senator Plett do take the chair of this committee.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The Honourable Senator Plett took the chair of the committee.

At 8:48 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
