The Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met this day at 9:28 a.m., in the Admirals Room South, Conference Level, Four Points by Sheraton Halifax, the deputy chair, the Honourable Michael L. MacDonald, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boisvenu, Greene, MacDonald and Mercer (4).
In attendance: Jed Chong, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; Sonia Noreau, Communications Officer, Senate Communications Directorate.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, the committee continued its study on the development of a strategy to facilitate the transport of crude oil to eastern Canadian refineries and to ports on the East and West coasts of Canada.
