The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 5:52 p.m., in room B30, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Diane F. Griffin, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bernard, Black (Ontario), Deacon (Nova Scotia), Doyle, Griffin, Kutcher and Moodie (7).
In attendance: Corentin Bialais and Xavier Deschenes-Philion, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 2, 2019, the committee continued its consideration of the subject matter of those elements contained in Subdivision C of Division 9 of Part 4, insofar as it relates to food, and in Subdivision J of Division 9 of Part 4 of Bill C-97, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 19, 2019 and other measures.
