The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day, at 6:45 p.m., in room 9, Victoria building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Cools, Eaton, Forest, Marshall, Mockler, Moncion, Neufeld, Pratte, Raine and Woo (10).

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Mitchell (1).

In attendance: Sylvain Fleury and Olivier Leblanc-Laurendeau, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, the committee continued its study of the main estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018.

The chair called the meeting to order and made a statement.

Mr. Thoppil, Ms. Downie and Mr. Lapointe each made a statement and, together with Ms. Kinney and Mr. Davies, answered questions.

At 8:31 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
