The Senate Standing Committee on National Finance met this day at 9:30 a.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Bellemare, Cools, Eaton, Forest, Marshall, Mockler and Pratte (8).
In attendance: Alex Smith and Sylvain Fleury, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 15, 2018, the committee began its examination of Supplementary Estimates (C) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 15, 2018, the committee began its examination of the Interim Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2019.
WITNESSES:
Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada:
Brian Pagan, Assistant Secretary, Expenditure Management Sector;
Marcia Santiago, Executive Director, Expenditure Management Sector;
Grace Chenette, Executive Director, Financial Management Directorate.
Mr. Pagan made a statement and, together with Ms. Chenette, answered questions.
At 10:33 a.m., the committee suspended.
At 10:39 a.m., the committee resumed.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 15, 2018, the committee continued its examination of Supplementary Estimates (C) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018.
