The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 2 p.m., in room W120, Building 1, Wellington Street, the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Boehm, Deacon (Ontario), Eaton, Forest, Forest-Niesing, Klyne, Manning, Marshall, Mockler, Moncion and Pratte (12).

In attendance: Alex Smith and Shaowei Pu, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February21, 2019, the committee continued its study on the Supplementary Estimates (B) for the fiscal year ending March31, 2019.

The chair made a statement.

Ms.Bess and Mr.Mills each made a statement and, together with Mr.Botham, Mr.Leswick, Mr.MacDonald, Ms.Anderson, Mr.Jovanovic and Mr.Moreau, answered questions.

At 2:56 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 3:01 p.m., the committee resumed.

Ms.Charron and Ms.Stuart each made a statement and, together with Mr.Finn, Ms.McIntyre, Mr.Gosselin and Mr.Doiron, answered questions.

At 4:07 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
