The Standing Senate Committee on Rules, Procedures and the Rights of Parliament met in camera, at 9:35 a.m., this day, in room 356-S, Centre Block, the Chair, the Honourable Senator Milne, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bacon, Di Nino, Joyal, P.C., Milne, Rompkey, P.C., Smith, P.C., Stratton, Wiebe (8).
Also in attendance: From the Committees Directorate: Krista Durrell and Heather Lank, Principal Clerk; Charles Robert, Principal Clerk of Procedure; from the Parliamentary Research Branch, Library of Parliaments: Jamie Robertson; from the office of the Honourable Senator Milne, Jeff Paul; from the office of the Honourable Senator Bacon, Alexandre Drago.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, November 7, the committee proceeded to study the motion of the Honourable Senator Kenny, ``that the Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence be authorized to adjourn from place to place within and outside Canada for the purpose of pursuing its study.'' It was agreed to proceed in camera for the purposes of the consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed that the Chair present the Third Report, as amended, to the Senate.
At 9:55 a.m., the committee proceeded with its study on Tabling of Reports.
It was agreed to proceed in camera for the purposes of the consideration of a draft report.
Amendments were agreed and the final draft will be brought for the next meeting.
At 10:20 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.

It was agreed to proceed in camera for the purposes of the consideration of a draft report on Tabling of Reports.
With editorial changes agreed, the Chair was authorized to present the Fourth Report.
At 12:29 p.m., pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, October 31, the committee proceeded in public session to study the motion, `` that for the duration of the present session any select committee may meet during adjournments of the Senate.'' It was agreed that the research staff draft a list of suggestions and options reflecting the comments of members of the committee and the work done by the committee in the past Session on video and tele-conferencing.
At 1:12 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
