The Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs of the Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence met this day at 12 p.m., in room 257, East Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable Donald Neil Plett, presiding.
Members of the subcommittee present: The Honourable Senators Day, Plett and Rivard (3).
Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Mitchell and St. Germain, P.C. (2).
In attendance: Martin Auger, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, and delegated on Monday, October 3, 2011 by the Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence, the subcommittee continued its study on the services and benefits provided to members of the Canadian Forces; to veterans; to members and former members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and their families.

John D. Larlee, Chair;
Dale Sharkey, Director General;
Laura Kell, Acting Director, Legal Services.
Mr. Larlee made a statement and, together with Ms. Sharkey and Ms. Kell, answered questions.
At 1:17 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the chair.
