The Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs met this day at 12:02p.m., in room B45, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Jean-Guy Dagenais, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boniface, Dagenais, McIntyre and Richards (4).

Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Griffin and Wallin (2).

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Monday, February1, 2016, the committee continued its study on the services and benefits provided to members of the Canadian Forces; to veterans; to members and former members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and their families. Topic: The repercussions of the recent changes in ministers at the head of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Ms.Vaillancourt and Mr.Irvine each made a statement and, together with Mr.Clark and Ms. Bond, answered questions.
