The Senate has adjourned until Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in an effort to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.

The Senate’s priority remains the health and safety of all Canadians. Further to consultations with public health authorities, it has taken preventative and proactive measures in response to COVID-19. The Senate will continue to work in collaboration with its parliamentary partners to take further actions as appropriate.
