Ottawa For immediate release

Pursuant to Rule 3-6(1), the Speaker of the Senate has recalled the Senate to sit on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 10 a.m. The Senate will meet for the consideration of public business and, in particular, the declaration of emergency made pursuant to the Emergencies Act.

Whenever the Senate stands adjourned, it can be recalled by the Speaker if it is deemed to be in the public interest.

The Senate will continue to broadcast proceedings via ParlVU and to live-tweet key information about debates in the Chamber.
