She participated in their monthly book club and commented on topics addressed in R is for Reparations by the Global Afrikan Congress – Nova Scotia Chapter.

Friday, December 3, 2021 – Senator Julie Miville-Dechêne speaks with students from John Abbott College in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec. Their discussions covered the Senate, fiscal policy, the shortage of daycare spots and the senator’s bill about forced labour in supply chains.
Saturday, December 4, 2021 – Senator Victor Oh delivers a drive-through breakfast during the Streetsville Christmas Breakfast in Streetsville, Ontario. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to provide meals for those in need in Mississauga, Ontario.
Sunday, December 5, 2021 – Senator Raymonde Gagné plays the role of lieutenant governor of Saskatchewan and delivers a Speech from the Throne during the opening ceremonies of the 26th edition of the Parlement jeunesse fransaskois in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Sunday, December 5, 2021 – Senator Paula Simons participates at the Shine a Light event hosted by the Jewish Federation of Edmonton at the city’s Westridge Community League Hall. Participants were asked to express how they felt about anti-Semitism on tiles that will later be part of a mosaic art piece displayed at Edmonton City Hall.
Monday, December 6, 2021 – Ontario Senator Robert Black participates in a virtual question-and-answer session during a snow day with students from A. Lorne Cassidy Elementary School in Stittsville, a community of Ottawa, Ontario. The students learned about a typical day in a senator’s life and asked Senator Black questions about his work in the Red Chamber.
