Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Haidasz, P.C., seconded by the Honourable Senator Stewart, for the second reading of Bill S-8, An Act to amend the Tobacco Act (content regulation).

After debate,

The bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Carstairs moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Petten, that the bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology.
